Description
Looking for a meaningful way to welcome the Jewish New Year with your kids that's both fun and purposeful? Join Mitzvah Makers for a heartfelt mitzvah as we fill holiday bags for a sweet New Year! 🌟
Join other Jewish parents and children for a hands-on family mitzvah project, filling holiday bags with treats and warm wishes for over 400 families and seniors across the Bay Area. It’s a beautiful way to teach children the Jewish value of Gemilut Chasadim (acts of loving-kindness), while showing them how they can help make the New Year sweeter for others through small, thoughtful actions—and feel part of a caring Jewish community.
Perfect for families with kids ages 5-10, this event is open to any family in the Bay Area, and we encourage kids to join in! At JFCS' San Francisco office.
Please separately register each person who will be coming, so we know exact numbers (including children). Thank you! 🤗
Please don't hesitate to reach out to Danit (dhetsroni@jfcs.org) if you have any questions.
A donation of $18 - $36 to the JFCS Food Bank is suggested. Click here to donate.
JFCS' Mitzvah Makers is a volunteer, Jewish service learning program for families, which introduces kids to the Jewish value of Gemilut Chasadim (acts of loving-kindness). It’s a great way to teach the next generation about giving back and being part of a caring Jewish community.
