Description
Community Partners in Healthy Aging Summits will move awareness about aging topics beyond health care and aging services and toward a community-wide movement.

The second summit is set for 9-11 a.m. December 3 (location to be announced) with the topic: Building a Community that Supports Family Caregivers.

This Summit will move beyond caregiver education and recognition to identify barriers, strengthen coordination, and develop practical actions organizations can take to make caregiving more sustainable. It will include a presentation focused on why family caregiving is a community issue, the impact it has on different groups, and practical ways every sector can support inclusion. It will also feature a conversation with community members who are family caregivers, and opportunities for attendees to have open discussions.

These Summits are free and open to the community. Business professionals, community leaders, first responders, the local faith community, and anyone with lived experience as a family caregiver are encouraged to attend to take part in this important community dialogue.
