Solidarity Starts at Home: A Training for People Who Employ Immigrant Caregivers or House Cleaners

Learn how to support immigrant domestic workers and neighbors through practical steps to make your home a fair and safe workplace in the face of attacks on immigrants. In this training, you’ll learn the 6 steps to make your home a Sanctuary Home: be a fair employer, learn immigrant rights, don't open the door to ICE, assess the support you can offer to the domestic worker in your home, start the conversation, and take action in your community; understand that you are a domestic employer and the responsibilities that entails; use a solidarity, rather than a charity, framework in your approach to building trust with your employee; and leave with a plan to take one concrete action in your home and/or one concrete action in your community.
